To add a category or multiple categories in ZineBasic, I personally prefer using a text format that allow you to generate tons of categories and subcategories in a click. Before using this text form, allow me to give you an example.

For instance, the first category you would like to create is Finance and that category has several subcategories such as business finance, student finance, car finance and home finance. While the second one is Insurance. In this category, we have car insurance, pet insurance, home insurance and travel insurance.

So, the format should be:
{finance:business finance:student finance:car finance:home finance}
{insurance:car insurance:pet insurance:home insurance:travel insurance}

Notice the brackets {...} ! this is to tell ZineBasic that it is one set. You may enter as many as you like, but keep the number reasonable. 50 - 100 should be fine. And also, please note that the first element within the bracket {...} will be the name of the category while the rest are subcategories. One last thing, query will not be executed if there are no subcategory element within the {...} bracket.
