Rules for hostnames (for assigned PCs)
  1. Use the first name of the person
  2. On collision - use the family name
  3. On collision - use the first name, underscore, partial or full last name
  4. On collision - use the first name, underscore, second name
  5. On collision - use the first name, underscore, abbreviated department name
  6. If the PC has multiple LAN cards - all these cards use the same name with different numeric suffix
  7. If the PC has both LAN card(s) and WiFi - add underscore and either lan or wifi to the hostname

Rules for hostnames (for public PCs, network printers, switches ...)
  1. Use a word, describing the primary usage of the device - printer, scanner, server, switch ....
  2. If needed - use underscore and add information about location of device or its specific feature (e.g. "canon_a3")
  3. If needed - add a numeric suffix (e.g. "printer_eng3")

Devices not listed in DHCP - if these are not mobile phones, they must be included in static DHCP list
